What is Endovascular Repair?

Endovascular aneurysm repair involves inserting a graft within the aneurysm through small groin incisions using X-rays to guide the graft into place.

Blood will pass through the graft in the aorta without pushing on the aneurysm. You can expect the areas where the catheters were inserted to be sore for 1 to 2 weeks. If you have stitches or staples, the doctor may need to take them out. You may feel more tired than usual for 1 to 2 weeks after surgery.
