Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology of Mahatma Gandhi Medical College provides comprehensive care for the pregnant & gynecology patients.

We have a team of highly qualified gynecologists with many years of quality experience to their credit who consistently deliver high quality medical care to the patients along with effective communication. All the doctors are trained to provide quality care to the patients in a consistent and ethical manner. The department is equipped with state of art technology to provide treatment for the entire gamut of obstetrics & gynecology health needs.

Apart from 130 beds dedicated specially to obstetrics and Gynaecology we also have fully equipped Labour Room Complex with clean and Septic Labour Room, OT complex, antenatal and postnatal wards Blood Bank and NICU having 24×7 on floor obstetricians, neonatologist, anesthetist and critical care specialist for management of all high-risk pregnancies.

Since the time of its inception, department has produced alumni of National and International repute. The department has always strived to maintain the standards of teaching and training of Undergraduates, Postgraduates and Para-Medical staff. Members of the faculty are actively involved in various national bodies like FIGO, FOGSI, JOGS, JMS, ISAR, IMS, IFS, AGESR and working for the welfare of women. The members are also invited by prestigious bodies like NMC, UPSC, National Board as assessors, advisors and examiners.

Infertility Clinic

The department has a state-of-the-art IVF Centre for patients facing challenges in conceiving. We provide assistance in infertility evaluation for both males & females using Ultrasound scanning, HSG, IUI, IVF-ICSI as well as Hysteroscopic and Laparoscopic surgeries for infertility treatment.

Genetics Department

At MGMCH, we have an OPD for genetic counseling and investigations by expert geneticists. We offer treatment for bad obstetric history, elderly patients wishing to conceive, or patients with a family history of genetic abnormalities.
