What is Dermatology ?

In a dermatology department, a variety of procedures are performed to diagnose and treat skin, hair, and nail conditions.

  • Chemical Peels - Applying chemical solutions to exfoliate the skin and improve texture or treat conditions like acne or hyperpigmentation.

  • Excision -Surgically removing skin lesions or tumours, often with a margin of surrounding tissue.
  • Mohs Micrographic Surgery - A specialised technique for removing skin cancer, ensuring complete excision while preserving healthy tissue.
