Dr. Naveen Gupta completed his DM in Clinical Hematology from the prestigious AIIMS New Delhi and subsequently joined the Department of Clinical Hematology, Mahatma Gandhi Medical College & Hospital in 2019. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department. He specialises in the treatment of blood cancers such as Leukemia, Lymphoma and Myeloma; and also benign blood disorders such as Anemia (low hemoglobin), low platelets, Aplastic anemia, Thalassemia, bleeding disorders like Hemophilia, blood clotting disorders and others. Dr. Gupta has played a key role in establishing a state-of-the-art Bone Marrow Transplant Centre at Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Hospital, Jaipur. He has performed numerous Autologous transplants for Multiple myeloma and Lymphoma and Allogeneic transplants for Leukemia and Aplastic anemia.A very dedicated clinician and academician, he has always believed that patient education about the disease is very important in dealing with blood disorders. The task requires courage and persistence from both the doctor and the patient. Dr. Gupta has continuously made efforts towards raising awareness regarding these lesser-known problems and has always advocated that the first step to treatment is removing the stigma and misinformation around these diseases. The field of Hematology is one of the most rapidly advancing fields in all of medical science. Dr. Gupta believes the future cure of blood disorders will come from Cellular therapy, Targeted therapy and Gene therapy.
