Dr Pramod Kumar graduated from SP Medical College, Bikaner (1975-80). Served with Govt of Rajasthan for three years before joining Army Medical Corps in Oct 1984. Officer completed his MD (Hospital Administration) from AFMC, Pune in 1998.
Served in various appointments in Army - Commanded a hospital in field area and was Senior Registrar of a hospital in high altitude area. He has served in Staff at Army Headquarters and was involved in deployment of troops to UN missions abroad. He was Project Officer for planning and designing of many military hospitals. He has been instrumental in procurement process at different levels during his illustrious career in Army.
Trained and qualified External Assessor for National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt of India and NABH Entry Level certification.
Adventure enthusiast - Accomplished Paratrooper, Hot Air Balloon pilot and Scuba Diver.
Joined KGMU, Lucknow on 01 Jul 2016 as Associate Professor in Department of Hospital Administration on superannuation from Army. Moved to The IIHMR University, Jaipur as Professor before assuming appointment of Professor and Head, Department of Hospital Administration, MGUMST, Jaipur in Mar 2019.
- Awarded Chief of Army Staff and Vice Chief of Army Staff Commendation on 15 Aug 2006 and 15 Aug 2007 respectively.
